Tour overview

You will work in the forest, sharing in the daily works of the locals. such as extracting resin from pine or Caranium trees, which are at least 15 to 20 years old.

Selling the resin provides their main source of income. You will also have the opportunity to cook alongside the locals after returning from the forest and enjoy the lunch you’ve prepared yourself. Traditional dishes from the northern countryside of Vietnam will give you an unforgettable culinary experience.

DAY 1

12.30: Checking in and relaxing In the afternoon: visiting the town freely by bicycle

18.30 to 19.00: Family dinner (rice wine - happy water served)
In the evening; Chilling and meeting up. Sleep at Mien Ecohouse

DAY 2

8.00: Start from our House to a local house in the jungle, which takes 20 minutes to get there. Today you will truly experience life as a local.

She will show you how to extract resin from pine trees or Caranium trees, if the resin is full, you will have a chance to harvest and carry it - it's hard work.

11.30: Return to the house and start preparing lunch yourself using mostly local ingredients such as colored sticky rice (1hour for steaming), peeling and picking vegetables, cooking porridge. And enjoy lunch afterward.

15.00: Comeback to Mien Ecohouse and finish your trip.

18.30 to 19.00: Family dinner (rice wine - happy water served)

Free time at night.
